Theft case: Stephanie M. Levato, 31, of 1998 S. Main St., Amwell Township, is charged by state police with theft and disorderly conduct, accused of pawning two rings valued at $41,500 she allegedly stole from her mother between Jan. 1 and Thursday. She is in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond set by District Judge Curtis Thompson.

Burglary report: Patrick T. Mahon of 1011 Fourth St., Canonsburg, told borough police about 3:30 p.m. Thursday copper was stolen from his residence. The burglar pried open a side door to get inside the residence, police said.

Bogus drug test: Richard C. Schran Jr., 43, of 830 Walnut St., Donora, is charged by borough police with furnishing drug-free urine belonging to someone else through a device with a pump hidden in his pants when he had an appointment with his probation officer about 12:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at 601 Meldon Ave., court records state. Arraigned Wednesday by District Judge Mark Wilson, Schran is free on $10,000 bond.

Woman assaulted: Saber Miller, 19, of 607 Geary St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of children, court records state. Miller is accused of pulling Felicia Bohnak off a bed by the hair while she held her 6-month-old son about 11:30 a.m. Thursday at 404 Fourth St. He is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Curtis Thompson.

Couple arrested: Kendall L. Dupree, 38, of 180 Morton St., New Eagle, is charged by Monongahela police with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment, accused of severely choking his live-in girlfriend, Amber M. Holmes, about 1:45 p.m. Aug. 27 at their residence, court records state. Holmes, 39, is charged by police with hindering apprehension and obstruction, accused of hiding Dupree when an officer went to their residence about 11:30 p.m. Sunday to arrest him on a felony warrant, the record shows. Arraigned Thursday by District Judge Mark Wilson, Dupree is free on $100,000 bond while Holmes is free on $5,000 bond.

Theft report: Donald Martin of 51 Garber Road told township police about 4:45 p.m. Thursday that extension cables and welding cables valued at $500 were stolen from his detached barn, police said.
