2 min read

WAYNESBURG – Teaching with Primary Sources at Waynesburg University will present National History Day, a free online professional development opportunity for educators, from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evenings, starting Sept. 30 through Nov. 4.

Participants can earn up to 24 CEU Hours and will have the opportunity to journey back in history and explore different primary sources relating to this year’s theme, leadership and legacy.

Throughout the six weeks, participants will gain skills, use digitized sources from www.loc.gov to support student inquiry and acquire a broader understanding of the struggle for racial equality in American history.

They will experience weekly live audio chats with colleagues and their facilitator, individual readings, inquiry learning strategies, group collaboration and project development.

Participants who have not completed TPS Level I are asked to complete a pre-requisite, TPS Basics, before the start date.

Space is limited. Register now at https://forms.waynesburg.edu/machform/view.php?id=368156.
