Chartiers woman waives case to court

A Chartiers Township woman accused of having a shotgun in her backyard while children were in the area waived her case to court Wednesday.

A charge of aggravated assault against Sherry L. Conte, 54, of 360 Moon Road, was withdrawn following the hearing before District Judge David Mark. She waived charges of endangering the welfare of children, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct filed by Chartiers police stemming from the Aug. 23 incident.

She remains free on $25,000 unsecured bond.
