DUI crash: Willman H. Cose, 68, of 339 Locust Ave., Washington, was charged last week by East Washington police with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and unauthorized use of a vehicle after he crashed into a utility pole in front of 345 E. Wheeling St., on Sept. 12. He reportedly took the vehicle without permission of the owner, Linda Hook of Washington. His blood alcohol content was 1 1/2 times the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Driver crashes: Jason A. White, 32, of Denbo, faces charges including DUI stemming from a crash about 1 a.m. Thursday in front of 2656 E. National Pike, North Bethlehem. State police said he was going west when his vehicle went off the road, overturned and hit a wooden fence and above-ground swimming pool. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

DUI charge: John Robert Lewicki, 33, of 84 Chubbic Road, North Strabane, was charged by North Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol after he reportedly struck a mailbox in front of 61 Brehm Road on Aug. 22. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Tree hit: Travis L. Beck, 24, of Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, was charged last week by North Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle hit a tree Sept. 18 at Cambria Suites, 457 Racetrack Road. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Counterfeit money: State police at The Meadows Casino report getting a counterfeit $20 bill Friday and a fake $10 bill Wednesday. The bills will be forwarded to the U.S. Secret Service.

Copper stolen: Copper rods were stolen from the Verizon cellphone tower, Abele Road, before 9:55 a.m. Monday, township police said. No value was listed for the copper.

Theft charge: Brian K. Grosser, 44, of Mt. Pleasant, was charged last week by South Strabane police with theft by deception after twice returning stolen items in exchange for gift cards at Wal-Mart, Trinity Point, in July. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Flees crash scene: Charles L. Trevena Jr., 44, of 275 King Air Circle, South Franklin Township, was charged last week by South Strabane police with leaving the scene of an accident, damage to unattended property, reckless driving and having an open container of alcohol stemming from an Aug. 29 crash at the intersection of Waynesburg Road and East Maiden Street. Trevena reportedly hit a vehicle stopped at a red light on Waynesburg Road and then hit a fence at 1912 E. Maiden. He got out of his car and fled. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Clothing stolen: Brittany N. Butler, 20, of Middletown, Ohio, was charged last week with retail theft after she allegedly stole clothing from Torrid, Tanger Outlets. South Strabane police said she reportedly took clothing from the rack, changed into the items and left the store. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Drug arrest: Marvelle Michelle Jennings, 34, of Washington, was arrested early Thursday on a warrant obtained by the state police stemming from a May 14, 2013, sale of crack to a confidential informant in Washington. She was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver crack and placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.

Forgery, theft arrest: Kimberly Sue Reedy, 35, of 2 Scott Road, Amwell Township, was arrested Wednesday by Washington police on charges of forgery, access device fraud and theft. She is accused of using her aunt’s PNC bank account to make a $900 purchase at Wal-Mart, Trinity Point, and forging her signature on $2,320 in checks in May. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Cash, medication stolen: Joyce Cole, West Hallam Avenue, told Washington police Wednesday that $30 and prescription medication were stolen from her home. Police plan to file charges against a suspect.

Woman hit: Christina Arbogast of Washington told Washington police Wednesday she was struck by a vehicle driven by Brian Durbin, 41, of 845 Henderson Ave., Washington, while she was on Broad Street. Durbin left the scene. Arbogast suffered a leg injury. Durbin, who denied hitting Arbogast, was charged with failure to render aid and driving under suspension. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
