State Rep. Jesse White, D-Cecil, is again partnering with local nonprofit rescue group PetSearch to hold the third annual Pet Expo event.

The pet expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4 at South Fayette Township’s Fairview Park, off Greenwood Drive. The park is accessible via Boyce Road or Washington Pike.

Parking and admission are free, and attendees are encouraged to bring their vaccinated pets to the event as well.

The popular pet parade and costume contest will be held at noon, and the event will feature a variety of rescue agencies, veterinarians and other pet-related vendor booths, plus food, entertainment and activities for people and pets.

The expo also will offer an opportunity to learn about pet licensing and pet-related legislation being addressed by the state Legislature.
