Meetings focus on Coalfield Justice report
Center for Coalfield Justice released a report, “Community Indicators of Environmental Justice: A Baseline Report Focusing on Greene and Washington Counties, PA.”
It is the third report in the Landscape Today series, funded by the Colcom Foundation and aimed at informing local residents about issues related to coal and natural gas extraction.

The center will have five community meetings related to the findings. Each will run from 6 to 8 p.m.:
• Tuesday: Carmichaels American Legion, 205 E. George St.;
• Thursday: Luzerne Fire Hall, 1101 Labelle Road, LaBelle;
• Oct. 7: Center for Coalfield Justice office, 184 S. Main St., Washington;
• Oct. 9: Morris Township Community Center, Route 18, Graysville;
• Oct. 14: Mt. Pleasant fire hall, 106 Main St., Hickory.
