Greene County Democratic Women will hold its month meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Rohanna’s Restaurant. Members are urged to attend.
A rummage sale and lunch will be held Wednesday and Thursday at Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. also both days. The menu includes sandwiches, homemade soups, cabbage and noodles, salad, homemade cake and pies and drinks. Takeouts and local deliveries are available by calling 724-627-3240.
Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority will shut off water on Sugar Run Road, from Cabin Road south to Policz Road, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday to upgrade the water system. Customers may experience low pressure or no water and are advised to keep containers of water on hand for use.
The annual veteran’s reunion for the Waynesburg unit of the Pennsylvania National Guard will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Waynesburg American Legion, 676 E. High St., Waynesburg. All former and present members are invited to attend, including members of the Canonsburg unit. Food and refreshments will be served.
Greene County Humane Society will host a cash bash from 1 to 7 p.m. Oct. 19 in Building No. 9 at Greene County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the shelter or by calling Brad at 724-833-4973. The event will include food and games and is the biggest single-day fundraiser for the society shelter, which operates from donations and community support.
Cornerstone Bible Ministries will hold a fall festival form 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at the center at 381 Willis Road, Jefferson. The event will include gospel music, pumpkin painting, a prize basket, scarecrow stuffing, crafts, vendors, food, face painting and hay rides.
