Jail inmate cited: Howard R. Ackley, 67, of Waynesburg, was cited for harassment after state police said he threw another jail inmate down inside Greene County jail at 855 Rolling Meadows Road in Franklin Township and struck him in the groin about 2:30 p.m. Friday. The other inmate, Bailey Thorne, 20, of Nemacolin, was not injured, police said.

Simple assault charge: State police arrested a Gray Township woman after troopers said she threw a bottle of window cleaner at another woman during an argument early Sunday morning. Police said Terry Lynn Braun, 39, of 113 Hilltop Lane, threw the Windex bottle, striking Marie Miller in the face, during an argument at her residence shortly after midnight. Police said the argument continued later that morning before troopers were called to the residence. Braun was arraigned Sunday afternoon on charges of simple assault and harassment, and she was released on $1,000 unsecured bond.
