Community Action starting computer classes next month

Community Action Southwest is offering a free classes at its computer learning center in Washington for lower-income adults interested in enhancing their skills for employment or educational opportunities.

The basic computer skills class, taught by volunteers, includes four sessions beginning May 11 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Community Action Southwest office, 150 W. Beau St., Suite 304.

Other classes include Internet skills, email skills, keyboarding and the programs Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. All of the classes are once per week for four to six weeks, depending on the subject matter, between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Anyone who would like more information, or enroll in a class or be added to a waiting list can call Amanda at 724-225-9550 ext. 432. Classes are offered based on community need.
