Donora man arraigned on charges of having sex with teen in public
A Donora man was arraigned Wednesday on charges of having sex in public with a 16-year-old girl.
David A. Spitzer, 19, 409 Prospect Ave., was charged after police were notified April 2 he was having sex with the girl near the railroad overpass on South Washington Street, according to the criminal complaint filed by Donora police.
Five boys who witnessed the activity directed police to the area, where an officer observed the two and “sounded a burst from my cruiser’s air horn” to break it up.
The girl told police the sex was consensual. When Spitzer allowed police to search his phone, they found photos of him and the girl engaged in sex acts. He told police he knew the female was underage.
Spitzer was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Gary Havelka on six counts of unlawful contact with a minor, five counts of indecent exposure, 10 counts of child sexual abuse, open lewdness, two counts of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. He is being held in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
