Carmichaels chamber to hold annual dinner dance
CARMICHAELS – The annual Carmichaels Chamber of Commerce dinner dance will be held April 25 at Carmichaels American Legion Post 400, located at 400 E. George St.
Tickets are $20 per person and available for purchase at Brodak’s Shop ‘n Save, the office of Greene County Controller Dave Balint, located at 93 E. High St in the Greene County Office Building, the Yingling Insurance Agency in the Carmichaels Plaza and from any Carmichaels Chamber of Commerce board member.
The guest of honor for the event will be Alyssa Gallagher, the 2014 Pennsylvania Bituminous Coal queen. Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening is Mary Lewis, deputy coroner of Greene County and retired secretary of the Borough of Carmichaels. Music will be provided by DJ Dave Plavi for dancing from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The purpose of Carmichaels Area Chamber of Commerce is to promote and advance the interests of the Carmichaels business community. The chamber also sponsors special holiday events, such as; the Christmas and Halloween parades, and the Christmas tree lighting ceremony in the town square. The chamber is one of the organizations that comprise the King Coal Association and actively supports the work of the association in holding its annual King Coal Show festivities.
