The Greene County Special Olympics is holding a meet-and-greet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 18 at the Waynesburg University gymnasium to provide the community with an opportunity to learn more about the organization and how to get involved. Individuals of all ages with intellectual disabilities who want to find out how to become an athlete with the Special Olympics in Greene County, their parents, and caregivers are encouraged to attend. Parents and caregivers are also welcome to attend the meeting to receive information about volunteer and coaching opportunities. Demonstrations of the sports offered and sign-ups for those who wish to participate will also take place.
