An 18-year-old West Virginia man died Sunday afternoon in an all-terrain vehicle crash in Hanover Township.

Chase D. Crow, of Weirton, was operating an ATV when it crashed on Bartleyville Road, near Parris Collier Road, about 1:15 p.m. He was transported to Weirton Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:50 p.m. by emergency medical physician Jesamyn Fuscardo. The Hancock County (W.Va.) coroner’s office is handling the incident.

State police in Moon Township, who are responsible for Hanover, reported Washington County 911 called the barracks about the crash and said the driver was unresponsive. A trooper arrived on scene and found members of Brooke County Emergency Medical Services performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the victim.

Police said Nathan Russell, a friend, identified Crow.
