Electrical shock injures 2 workers at suburban Philly mall
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (AP) — An electrical shock has injured two construction workers at a suburban Philadelphia shopping mall that’s one of the largest in the U.S.
Officials say the workers were hurt at the King of Prussia Mall around 7:45 a.m. Monday. Police say they may have cut through a power cable.
One worker is in serious condition and the other is reported as stable at Paoli Hospital. Power to the mall was temporarily disrupted.
An expansion project is adding a 155,000-square enclosed corridor that links two sections of the mall, more than 60 new stores and a new parking deck. It’s expected to be completed in the fall of 2016.
The International Council of Shopping Centers says the King of Prussia Mall has more leasable retail space than any mall in the country.
