Police beat April 16
Dumping rubbish charge: David Scott, 51, of 137 Scott Ave., Washington, and Carl Eckles, 56, of 34 ½ Euclid Ave., Washington, will be charged by state police with scattering rubbish after they allegedly dumped garbage in a private dumpster at 55 Hickory St., Canton, Saturday. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Theft, forgery arrest: Stephanie M. Wolfe, 42, of 8 Emery Ave., Millsboro, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on 24 counts each of forgery and identity theft filed by Centerville police. She is accused of taking 24 checks belonging to George A. Kelley Jr. of Richeyville between Jan. 22, 2013, and Aug. 1, 2014, and cashing them for $19,660.05. Wolfe had been in charge of his late mother’s finances before she died, police said. Wolfe was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Identity stolen: Julie Sulkowski of East Beau Street told South Strabane police her identity and that of her husband, Donald Sulkowski, had been stolen and used to file a federal tax return in their names.
Woman allegedly assaulted twice: Eugene “Noggie” Davis, 44, of Pittsburgh, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Robert Redlinger for allegedly assaulting Charlotte Thomas at her Acheson Avenue home on two occasions. He is accused of pinning her by the throat against a car and then pushing and punching her inside her home March 2. He also is accused of punching her in the ribs, cracking two of them, during an assault Sunday. He is charged with two counts each of aggravated and simple assault. Davis was placed in Washington County jail on $40,000 bond.
Window reported broken: Steven Fallett of Washington told Washington police the window of his vehicle was broken while the vehicle was parked in the lot at Fifty Yard Line, 105 Henderson Ave., early Wednesday.
Truck stolen: Christopher Sunday of Canton Township told Washington police Tuesday that his gray 2012 Dodge Ram pickup truck was stolen Tuesday from the lot at Valley Tire, 87 W. Chestnut St.
Vehicle damaged: Jordan Schrader of Washington told Washington police Tuesday his vehicle was damaged while it was parked in the 10 block of Campbell Avenue.
Harassment charge: Maurice Scott, 36, of 500 W. Chestnut St., will be charged with harassment for allegedly punching Nadia Dates, 21, of Washington, during a confrontation at his home Tuesday. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
