Area man sentenced to prison for cocaine
A Washington man was sentenced to 4 to 8 years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with the intent to deliver.
Kenneth Sellers, 32, of 725 Addison Ave., Washington, pleaded guilty before Washington County Judge Valarie Costanzo.
Sellers was arrested in December 2012 following a search of his home, which resulted in the discovery of 122 grams of cocaine.
He also pleaded guilty to another charge of possession with the intent to deliver and resisting arrest stemming from an incident in August 2013. In that case, police responded to reports of a man choking a woman at Jollick Manor. Upon their arrival, police saw Sellers on top of a woman. When officers intervened, Sellers began to fight them. After Sellers was arrested, police found a rock of cocaine on Sellers and $220.
Sellers will remain in Washington County jail until he is transported to a state facility.
