Action: At the request of the tax revenue department, the county will be seeking 3,000 square feet of office space within a one-mile radius of the courthouse to be used for what Tyler Technologies Inc. is calling “informal reviews” of property assessments at the beginning of 2016.

At the request of the human resources department, the county will advertise for proposals from firms or consultants who can provide a compensation analysis for about 150 positions within Washington County government.

At the request of the building and grounds department, the county also plans to seek a firm to perform an audit of county government buildings with an aim of saving on energy and water bills.

The commissioners acknowledged the receipt of the $270,133 Offender Partial-Day Treatment grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, part of which will be used to pay a probation officer.

At the request of the human services department, the commissioners approved supportive housing agreements with the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, which is paying, through $62,941 in federal tax dollars, for the Homeless Management Information Services system through March 31, 2016, and $158,601 through April 30 of next year for the Can-Do program, which provides a home for 18- to 22-year-olds who have a mental health diagnosis and a history of drug and alcohol abuse.

At the request of the Children and Youth Services agency, the board approved the purchase of two Ford Escapes at a cost of $27,805 each and a Dodge Grand Caravan for $22,857 through a state contract that does not require bidding.

At the request of court administration, the board approved a $25,000 annual agreement with Timothy J. Lyon to serve as a criminal conflict attorney in cases where a co-defendant is already represented by the public defender’s office.
