New Eagle man to stand trial on indecent assault charges

A New Eagle man was ordered held for court following a preliminary hearing Thursday on charges filed by Monongahela police stemming from alleged inappropriate contact with three young girls.

Scott M. Filipiak, III, 21, of 135 Union St., was arrested in December on charges of aggravated assault and indecent assault of children under the age of 13, indecent exposure and corruption of minors in connection with the incidents that reportedly happened last year.

Filipiak remains in Washington County Jail on $100,000 bond.
