PennDOT issues maintenance schedule for the week of April 20

The state Department of Transportation has issued the following tentative work plan for Greene County for the week of April 20. Maintenance activities are conducted weather permitting. Jerry Simkovic, Greene County maintenance manager, urges motorists to drive with caution throughout all work areas.

Crews will be conducting the following activities

• Abutment wall repairs will be done on Route SR 2018 in Whiteley Township.

• Bridge cleaning will continue on various routes in eastern Greene County.

• Pavement patching will be done on Route 18 and Route 21, from the West Virginia line to the Washington County line.

• Patching and shoulder stabilization work is scheduled for Route 1021 and Route 88, from Carmichaels to Millsboro.

•Crack sealing will continue on Route 218 from Blacksville to Waynesburg.

• Slide repair and washout repairs will be conducted on Route 3020, Bristoria Road, in Jackson and Center townships.

• Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.

PennDOT has a 24-hour toll free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concerns. This number can also be used to report locations of dead deer on state highways. The number is 1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623).
