Police beat April 24
Faces DUI charge: Kimberly Daugherty of 181 Barnett St., Washington, will be charged by Canonsburg police with driving under the influence of alcohol after police say she almost struck a borough police cruiser on West Pike Street near Strabane Avenue about 1 a.m. Thursday, then stopped her vehicle in the middle of the intersection. Police said her blood-alcohol content was almost three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.
Two charged: Jeremy Lee Wojcuich, 28, of 1895 Park Ave., Washington, and Sarah Moore, 25, of 218 Birch St., Claysville, were charged Tuesday by state police with possession of paraphernalia after they allegedly were found with numerous empty heroin stamp bags at a home on South Hewitt Avenue, Canton. Moore, who is in Washington County jail on a probation detainer, was arraigned Thursday on the charge before District Judge David Mark. Wojcuich will be charged by summons.
Failed urine test charge: Caressa D. Garrison, 25, of Moore Ave., Canonsburg, was charged Monday by Chartiers police with failure to provide drug-free urine after she allegedly had two vials of another person’s urine when she went to submit to testing by her probation officer last week. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Endangerment charges: Gregory S. Bradley, 25, of Pittsburgh, was charged Monday by state police with two counts of endangering the welfare of children, three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of harassment stemming from a March 8 incident. He is accused of beating Nicole Puckett as he drove from The Highlands in West Virginia on Interstate 70 to Interstate 79 near the Canonsburg exit, North Strabane, where he was stopped by police. Police said two children, ages 1 and 3, also were in the pickup truck. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Heroin charge: Kristin Linn Demis, 27, of 310 Annuity Drive, South Franklin Township, was charged Monday by state police with possession of heroin and paraphernalia stemming from a Jan. 20 traffic stop at Trinity Point, South Strabane. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Retail theft charge: Thomas A. Clipp, 32, of 303 Courtney Hill Road, Finleyville, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with retail theft and driving under suspension after he allegedly stole clothing valued at $575 from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, April 9. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Purse reported stolen: Chelsey Byers of Waynesburg told South Strabane police Wednesday her vehicle was broken into while she was working at Texas Roadhouse, Strabane Square, and her purse containing $200 to $300 and identification was stolen.
Assault charge: Justice L. Walden, 20, of 69 W. Hallam Ave., Washington, was arrested early Friday by Washington police on a charge of simple assault after he allegedly struck Amanda McGary five times in the head during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Medication reported stolen: Greg Heywood of 1030 Fayette St. told Washington police Tuesday prescription medication was stolen from his home.
Jewelry reported stolen: Daphne Tidrick of 124 Hall Ave. told Washington police Wednesday an engagement and wedding ring set was stolen from her home and sold at a resale shop.
Trespass, harassment charges: Sean Vaden of 916 Ewing St., Washington, was charged with harassment and criminal trespass after he allegedly entered the home of Nicole Turney, 119 Jollick Manor, without permission Wednesday. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
