Aleppo Brethren Church in Aleppo will hold a free community dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 1. The menu will include rigatoni, tossed salad, roll and cookies. Take-out orders are available. For information or deliveries call 724-428-9812.
Perry Township will hold clean up day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, at the township building, 799 Big Shannon Run Road, Mt. Morris. Items that will not be accepted include household garbage, building materials, lawn debris, tires, paint, batteries, electronics, oil or any hazardous materrials. Refrigerators and air conditioners must be tagged indicating freon has been removed.
Carmichaels Water Authority is asking customers to conserve water use Wednesday and Thursday. The authority will be shutting down its treatment plant those days to make electrical upgrades. Though the authority expects to have adequate storage, it cannot predict large volume water use as a result of fires of major line breaks.
