Fort Cherry High School evacuation lifted

1 min read

Classes have resumed for Fort Cherry High School students after they were evacuated about 8:30 this morning when an unknown odor was detected in a specific area of the high school, Superintendent Jill Jacoby said.

The students were taken to the elementary center, and local fire departments and gas companies were called as a precaution. After a careful inspection, nothing was found, Jacoby said.

The students were returned to the high school, and the day is proceeding as scheduled.
