City pair arrested on drug charges
A traffic stop by Washington police led to officers getting a search warrant for an East Katherine Avenue home Thursday night that resulted in the arrest of two of the residents and confiscation of three guns.
Isabelle Mooney, 50, and Brian Still Sr., 61, were taken into custody after police found suspected narcotics, including hydrocodone and marijuana, at their home. Still also faces a firearm violation.
Police stopped Natasha Still, 28, for a traffic violation near her home. One officer noticed a clear, plastic bag was sticking out of her bra so they took her to the station. As they waited for a female officer to come to the station to search Still, she reportedly told police that she had a purse at her home that contained marijuana and cocaine.
Police went to 130 E. Katherine and were met by Mooney, who would not let them inside. Officers could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the house. Police secured the residence and obtained a search warrant from District Judge Ethan Ward.
Officer Matthew Karlowsky and his dog searched the residence, with the dog hitting on suspected drugs and $1,058 was found inside the house. Police confiscated narcotics, including Tramadol and hydrocodone pills. Police also found Still with a Winchester 30-.30-caliber rifle, a Marlin .22-caliber rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun.
Mooney and Brian Still were arraigned before Ward on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver narcotics, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Still also was charged with person not to possess a firearm. Mooney was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond while Still was put in on $50,000 bond. Both are scheduled for a May 12 preliminary hearing before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
