Two people were injured Thursday when the pickup truck they were riding in crashed and rolled over on Interstate 79 in Whiteley Township near the Pennsylvania welcome center.

The truck, with South Carolina plates, was traveling north when it crashed through a guardrail and rolled onto its side shortly before 5:30 p.m., state police said.

The two people in the truck were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., police said, although the severity of their injuries was not immediately known. Mt. Morris volunteer firefighters assisted state police at the scene.
