Waynesburg Lions name students of the month
WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg Central High School seniors Mackenzie Robinson and Cody Biller were selected by the high school faculty as Waynesburg Lions Club’s students of the month for May.
Robinson of Waynesburg, the daughter of Jennifer Stephenson and Lee Robinson, has a 3.89 grade point average.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club, art club, drama club and creative writing club.
Robinson received a silver key scholastic poetry award and participated in the ensemble for the high school productions of “Really Rosie,” “Oklahoma,” Guys and Dolls” and the “The Quiltmaker’s Gift.” She had a starring role in “100 Dresses.”
She is a four-year member of 4-H Shooting Club and placed first in 2012 in the junior state championship in rifle. In 2013, she placed second in the senior state championship in rifle.
Robinson volunteers at the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg’s fall festival and received commissions for her art work.
She plans to attend Seton Hill University and major in biology and pre-medicine.
Biller, of Waynesburg, the son of Tammy and David Biller, has a 3.75 grade point average.
He is president of the French Club and received honors in the 2013-14 school year in English II, U.S. History, advanced algebra, accounting I and French III. In the 2011-12 school year, he received honors in French I and civics.
Biller has played ice hockey for three years in Morgantown, W.Va., and Connellsville and was a member of the PAHL midget U18 season champions in 2012 and 2014-15 and the PAHL midget U18 champions in 2014-15.
He plans to attend Penn State University and major in computer science.
