Man who nearly drowned remains in critical condition
A 36-year-old Canonsburg man remains in critical condition at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh after he nearly drowned in Canonsburg’s Town Park pool Friday.
Albert Johnson was found underwater and pulled to the surface by two lifeguards. Police learned he started swimming in shallow water and swam under water into the deep end. The incident happened during the adult swim when lifeguards were not required to be on duty.
Police also are investigating a report he was drinking an alcoholic beverage before getting into the pool.
