Two arrested for assault in Buffalo Township
Two people were arrested Monday night on warrants obtained earlier in the day by state police in connection with the alleged assault of a Greene County man outside a Buffalo Township home Friday night.
Kenneth S. Keener, 32, of 104 Covered Bridge Road, Prosperity, and Angela Keener-Haberthier, 36, of 140 Spruce Road, Claysville, are accused of assaulting Dylan Till, 23, of Sycamore, outside a home at 297 E. Buffalo Church Road.
Till and Keener allegedly were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical when Keener punched the 23-year-old in the face. Till fell to the ground, unconscious. While he was on the ground, Keener-Haberthier allegedly kicked him twice in the face.
Till was interviewed Saturday at the barracks. He told police he attended a party at the residence. He said he was walking to his vehicle in an attempt to leave when he was confronted by Keener. Till told police he went to Canonsburg Hospital Saturday and was treated for a fractured skull, superficial abrasion to the scalp and multiple contusions to the face.
One witness told police he was walking to the vehicle with Till and was there when the two men started arguing. The witness told police he saw Keener punch Till. Another witness also told police he saw Keener punch Till in the face and also saw Keener-Haberthier kick Till while he was unconscious on the ground.
Keener and Keener-Haberthier were arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. They were released from Washington County jail Tuesday morning after each posted $10,000 bond. The two are scheduled for an Aug. 17 preliminary hearing before District Judge Ethan Ward.
