Greene County man injured in fireworks explosion

A Greene County man was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital by medical helicopter Thursday after sustaining an injury to his hand from a fireworks explosion.

According to a Washington County 911 supervisor, the 36-year-old man was in Greene County when the explosion occurred shortly before 5 p.m. He then made his way to West Finley Fire Department in Washington County, where a medical helicopter was dispatched.

No further details were available.
