Correction
In Friday’s edition, it was incorrectly reported that Canon-McMillan School Board would be accepting applications at its Aug. 20 meeting to fill the vacancy left by the recent death of member Eric Kline. The board will be appointing a replacement at that meeting, according to Assistant Superintendent Scott Chambers. The board also did not formally rename a scholarship in Kline’s name, but announced support for it.
