Thefts: State police said someone broke into the American Auto Auction building around 2:30 a.m. July 16 and stole a small amount of cash and five transporter plates belonging to Road Runner Transportation. They described the suspect as a white male, possibly with a goatee and ponytail, wearing dark clothing. The numbers of the plates, registered in Pennsylvania, are: DT12527, DT12512, DT12514, DT13773 and DT12384.

Crash injuries: A Monongahela motorcyclist was injured after colliding with a deer on Route 136 in Nottingham Township around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. According to state police, Juraj Hric, 28, was negotiating a curve while traveling east when a deer crossed into his path. They said the cycle fell onto its side and slid about 75 feet, causing what appeared to be moderate injuries to Hric, and he was transported to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. An AGH spokeswoman, however, said Saturday afternoon there was no record of his treatment. The deer died.

Retail theft: Kyle Anthony Coughenour, 20, of Dawson, Fayette County, was charged with retail theft following at incident Saturday at the Walmart in West Brownsville. State police reported Coughenour and an unknown individual, who fled in a red Chevy Cruze, attempted to steal merchandise around 1:15 p.m. The investigation is continuing.
