Seven defendants entered into ARD program

WAYNESBURG – Seven criminal defendants were entered into the accelerated rehabilitative disposition program Monday by Greene County President Judge Farley Toothman.

Those accepted into the program must serve at least one year probation and pay all fines and costs. Defendants charged with driving under the influence of alcohol also may have their driving privileges suspended and be required to refrain from the use or possession of alcohol.

Those who successfully complete the program can petition the court to have their criminal records expunged.

Samuel Kevin Black, 53, of 109 Bodkin Road, Uniontown, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and eight summary traffic violations. Arrested June 29, 2014, Black had a blood-alcohol content of 0.084 percent.

Elmer Brian Schifko Jr., 20, of 709 Seventh St., Mather, charged with DUI and one summary violation. Arrested Nov. 30, he had a BAC of 0.037 percent.

Kenneth John Ambrose, 51, of 52 Reesman’s Trailer Park, Waynesburg, charged with DUI and three summary violations. Arrested Nov. 18, he had a BAC of 0.088 percent.

Christine Renee Cutwright, 45, of 376 Tin Can Hollow Road, Rices Landing, charged with DUI and three summary violations. Arrested Jan. 14, she had a BAC of 0.165 percent.

Chad William Keys, 29, of 26 Taylor Ave., Clarksville, charged with DUI and five summary violations. Arrested June 28, 2014, Keys had a BAC of 0.096 percent.

Derrick Lee Barber. 33, of 122 Duquesne St., Greensboro, charged with DUI and four summary violations. Arrested Sept. 7, he had a BAC of 0.119 percent.

Drake Edward Galloway, 20, of Route 21 Mobile Home Park, charged with cruelty to animals and unauthorized use of a vehicle. On Oct. 12, Galloway was driving a vehicle from which a juvenile passenger was shooting a bow and arrow at animals. On Whites Ridge Road in Franklin Township, the juvenile killed a dog. Galloway’s vehicle became stuck in a field. He used a tow truck from Wades Towing, where he had been employed, to remove the vehicle, without Wade’s permission.
