WAYNESBURG – A number of criminal defendants pleaded guilty this week before Greene County President Judge Farley Toothman and were sentenced.

John Allen Cook Jr., 20, of 239 Edgar Road, Waynesburg; offenses – defiant trespass, criminal mischief, burglary, conspiracy, criminal trespass and theft; Oct. 7, 2013, Cooke illegally entered a building at 453 Edgar Road in Center Township; Jan. 11, he and another man burglarized the Waynesburg Burger King, where Cook was employed; sentence – 7 years of probation; $550 fine, 350 hours of community service; $3,666.83 in restitution.

Joshua Raymond Grimes, 19, of 163 E. Greene St., Waynesburg; offenses – three counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, one count conspiracy to commit theft, driving under the influence of alcohol; Jan. 1, 2014, he was charged with driving while under the influence after his truck struck a parked vehicle, his blood-alcohol content was 0.217 percent; Feb. 4, he conspired with two others who beat and robbed a man from whom they were going to purchase marijuana; sentence – 1 to 3 years in jail, $1,750 in fines, 100 hours of community service, $728 in restitution to the robbery victim; $186.35 in restitution to the owner of the vehicle he hit.

Austin Glenn Wiley, 20, of 98 Central Ave., Masontown, offenses – one count each robbery, simple assault, theft, harassment, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct; two counts of robbery were withdrawn; Feb. 4, Wiley and another man beat and robbed a man from whom they were going to purchase marijuana; sentence – 1 to 3 years in jail, $750 fine, 300 hours of community service, $728 in restitution to the robbery victim.

Chad Adam Flick, 28, an inmate at SCI-Greene Community Corrections Center; offense – disorderly conduct, a charge of escape was withdrawn; May 3, 2014, Flick, who was serving a sentence for forgery, ran away from a security officer after being treated at Southwest Regional Medical Center, now WHS- Greene hospital; he was apprehended several days later in Somerset County; sentence – $300 fine.

Joshua Lee Arthur, 37, of 148 Good Hill Road, Prosperity; offenses – DUI, seven summary violations, possession of drug paraphernalia; arrested Nov. 28, he had a BAC of 0.148 percent, he also was in possession of a pipe with marijuana residue; sentence – 48 hours to 1 year in jail, $910 in fines, 75 hours of community service.

Ronald Lee Snyder Jr., 28, of 285 Byard Ave., Waynesburg; offense – theft; Nov. 25, Snyder stole jewelry from a house at which he was working and sold it at Premium Gold Exchange in Uniontown; sentence – 3 to 23 ½ months in jail $1,625 in restitution to the jewelry owner; $220 in restitution to Premium Gold Exchange.

Tonya Jean Demaske, 31, of 612 Sixth St., Mather; offenses – 10 counts each forgery, identity theft and receiving stolen property; in August 2014, she used 10 stolen checks to purchase $1,731.84 of merchandise at the Carmichaels Circle K Store; sentence – time served, 115 days, to 5 years in jail, $250 fine, 325 hours of community service; $1,731.84 in restitution to Circle K, $300 in restitution to holder of the checking account.

Gladys M. Perry, 43, of 214 Second Ave., Crucible; offense – pleaded no contest to endangering the welfare of a child; May 5, 2013, her three-year-old child was found wondering in the woods without clothing; sentence – 1 year of probation.

Kaileigh M. Wiegmann, 24, of 106 W. Greene St., Waynesburg; offenses – possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia; Jan. 24, police were called to her house for a man having a “bad trip” on LSD; police found marijuana, LSD and drug paraphernalia; sentence – 1 year probation, $400 fine, 125 hours of community service.

Alicia Dawn McGraw, 38, of 45 Clark St., Clarksville; offenses – forgery, theft; Sept. 17, McGraw used a stolen and forged check to pay a $291.44 water bill; sentence – 2 years of probation, 75 hours of community service, $291.44 in restitution.

Timothy Headlee, 30, of 131 Creek Road, Carmichaels, offenses – retail theft; a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was withdrawn; Jan. 13, Headlee was arrested after eating berries from a container at Brodak’s Shop ‘n Save and returning the container to the shelf; he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana; sentence – 1 year of probation 150 hours of community service, $2.99 in restitution to Brodak’s.

Tara Lashelle Hall, 33, of 612 Fourth St., Mather; offenses – three counts of forgery; four counts each of theft and access device fraud; on July 23, 2014, Hall used another person’s debit card to purchase gas, cigarettes, beer and lottery tickets; sentence – 3 years of probation, 225 hours of community service, $388.38 in restitution.

Justin Blake Potts, 28, of 32 Lombard St., Uniontown; offenses – 2 counts each of simple assault and harassment; one count each accidents involving damage to a vehicle and failure to notify police of an accident; Feb. 1, Potts assaulted his girlfriend and another person at her Waynesburg residence; while leaving the area he crashed into a parked vehicle; sentence – four years in the county intermediate punishment program with the first 30 days on house arrest, $1,050 in fines, 150 hours of community service; $1,538.30 in restitution.

Douglas Doyle Phenix, 37, of 8441 Kelly Lane, Alvarado, Texas, offenses – DUI and five summary violations; arrested Feb. 15, 2014, following a single-vehicle crash, Phenix had a BAC of 0.258 percent; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months in jail, $1,110 in fines.
