Several facing theft-related charges
South Strabane Township police filed charges against several people on theft-related charges for allegedly stealing items from different businesses.
Jessica Mastic, 26, of 406 Dickson St., Midway, was charged with two counts of theft by deception for allegedly taking items valued at $94 and $115 from shelves at Walmart, Trinity Point, on July 24 and Aug. 5 and then taking them to customer service in exchange for gift cards. Rachel N. Kint, 26, of 163 Garden St., Canonsburg, was charged with theft by deception for returning a comforter that had been reportedly been stolen from a Walmart to the store on July 13.
Katherine J. Spara, 47, of 23 W. Pitt St., Canonsburg, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing four items valued at $362 from Walmart on Aug. 5. Tyler M. Bedillion, 22, of 32 McCullough Hill Road, Amity, is also charged with retail theft for stealing items valued at $152 from the store.
David T. Wells, 32, of 249-A Latimer Ave., Strabane, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing batteries from Home Depot, Washington Road, on July 31.
William Helmick, 44, of 10 Juniper St., Cecil, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $367 from Lowe’s, Strabane Square, on July 23.
The charges against those accused will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
