The following people appeared recently for sentencing in Washington County Court.
Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:
James E. Nixon, 37, 391 W. Chestnut St., Washington; retail theft; charged July 20, 2014; sentence – 12 months of probation, retail theft class, restitution and banned from Shop ‘n Save.
Jessica S. Post, 33, 113 Gibson Ave., Washington; retail theft; charged Dec. 21; sentence – 6 months of probation, retail theft class, restitution and banned from Walmart.
Timothy A. Herschaft, 27, 211 Dicio St., Canonsburg; retail theft; charged May 16; sentence – 6 months of probation, retail theft class and banned from Giant Eagle.
Thomas J. Petrola, 28, 16 Hilltop Acres Road, Washington; retail theft; charged March 11; sentence – 6 months of probation, retail theft class and banned from Kohls.
Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:
Wanetta Scagline, 54, 916 McKean Ave., Charleroi; flight to avoid apprehension; charged Dec. 16; sentence – 2 years of probation and 200 hours of community service.
Several people recently appeared in Washington County Court for first offenses of driving under the influence and were admitted into the Rehabilitative Disposition program. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to have their record expunged. Admitted were:
