Rally planned at Nemacolin post office
A rally is planned at the Nemacolin Post Office, 1 Pershing Boulevard, Nemacolin, from 9 a.m. to noon Monday. According to a social media site, the rally is being held in response to the sudden temporary suspension of services.
Tad Kelley, corporate communications spokesman for the postal service, said Sunday an air quality test is being performed in the building. Several Nemacolin residents said it was closed because of a black mold issue.
“We hope this will only be a short time (until) we reopen,” Kelley stated in an email. “We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers. In any situation like this, our first concern is always the safety of our customers and employees.”
Nemacolin customers can pick up their mail at the Carmichaels Post Office, 111 N. Market St., Carmichaels.
