Harassment charges: Taylor Nicole Cimino, 20, of Severn, Md., and Nicolas Albert Damico of Carlisle, were each charged by California police with harassment stemming from a physical confrontation early Thursday at First and Mechanic streets.

Unauthorized use charge: Jennifer Wells of Route 88, Charleroi, was charged Thursday by California police with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and disorderly conduct for allegedly using a vehicle from 988 Cross St. that she was not permitted to drive Aug. 13. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Theft, receiving charges: Robert Bergstedt, 35, of Elizabeth, was charged Thursday with theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct for allegedly stealing a game system and controllers and several games from 248 Sixth St. on Aug. 11. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Access device fraud: Venus Michelle Deck, 50, of 114 ½ Wylie Ave., Strabane, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge David Mark on a charge of access device fraud for allegedly using a debit card belonging to Joanne White of Canonsburg and withdrawing $335.50 from her account. She was released on her own recognizance.

Garbage truck burns: Canonsburg police and firefighters were called about 2:42 a.m. Thursday when a garbage truck owned by Westmoreland Hauling caught fire outside 26 N. Jefferson Ave. The driver, Jason Carr, told police he noticed his load was on fire when he went to pick up a large garbage container. He told police he dropped the load and called 911. Some of the load had to be dropped in a gravel parking lot. The company called in a hazardous material company to clean the area.

One injured: Michelle D. Cerciello, 51, of 1224 S. Hewitt Ave., Washington, was slightly injured Monday afternoon when her vehicle was hit from behind by a car driven by Bryan A. Jarosh, 26, of 106 McClintock Drive, McMurray, on West Pike Street at Racetrack Road, Chartiers police said. Both vehicles were stopped at a red light on westbound West Pike. Jarosh told police he was eating ice cream when the wrapper fell and his foot slipped off the brake as he went to pick it up. Cerciello told police she would seek treatment on her own.

Driver charged: Antwan D. Wallace, 22, of Columbus, Ohio, faces several citations after he drove a tractor-trailer for Werner Enterprises into the Chartiers Township Fire Department lot over a “No Trucks” sign and guardrail, damaging both. Wallace was cited by Chartiers police with failure to obey traffic control devices as well as five commercial vehicle violations.

Drug, tampering charges: Timothy Brady O’Leary, 35, of 108 Adam St., Monongahela, was arrested Wednesday by Monongahela police on charges of tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police were called to the Son of a Beach tanning salon, 913 W. Main St., for a report of a man passed out in the bathroom because of a possible drug overdose. O’Leary reportedly tried to flush five stamp bags of suspected heroin in the toilet. He also had several empty stamp bags and a syringe. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Fugitive arrest: Kasie Renee Goff, 33, of Triadelphia, W.Va., was arrested Tuesday by state police as a fugitive from justice after a traffic stop on Interstate 70 westbound near the West Chestnut Street exit, North Franklin. Police clocked her going 76 mph in a 45 mph construction zone. They learned she was wanted on a warrant out of Monongalia County, W.Va. She was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail without bond pending extradition to West Virginia.

One injured: Robert D. Bergstedt, 64, of 222 S. Allen Ave., Donora, was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment after his van and a pickup truck driven by Travis E. Fletcher, 49, of Malvern, Ohio, collided Aug. 11 on Park Avenue at Franklin Farms Road, North Franklin police said.

Charged in crash: Melissa Linton, 38, of 123 Hunting Creek Road, North Strabane, was charged by North Strabane police with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia as well as traffic violations stemming from a two-vehicle crash Monday in the Sheetz parking lot, 2401 Washington Road. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Driver arrested: Mitchell H. Miller, 58, of Louisville, Ohio, was arrested Tuesday by state police on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and careless driving. He was stopped for a red light with a state trooper in a marked cruiser behind him on Route 19 at Davis School Road, South Strabane. When the light turned green, police said Miller sped off, going 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. When police stopped him, the trooper spotted an empty bottle of wine in Miller’s vehicle. Miller was taken to Washington Hospital where blood was drawn to determine his alcohol level. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Shed entered: Christopher and Bridget Barton, 287 Preston Road, told South Strabane police Wednesday that a weed trimmer, push lawn mower and snow blower were stolen from a shed at their home.

Woman robbed: Jade Rae of Washington told Washington police about 10 p.m. Wednesday a man whom she identified to officers, robbed her of $200 at gunpoint at McCarrell Avenue and Catfish Alley. She told police the man wanted to meet her to talk. He reportedly asked her for money and when she said “no” he pulled out a gun, pointed it at her head and threatened to kill her if she did not give him the money. Police searched the area for him. The investigation is continuing.

Door damaged: Jessica Scheidt, 156 Woodland Ave., told police the front door to her apartment was broken open when she returned home Wednesday.

Tires slashed: Homer Thomas of Canonsburg told Washington police Wednesday three tires were slashed on his trailer parked at 111 W. Spruce St.

Threats, assault charges: Anthony Ray Pierce, 31, of 211 Jefferson Ave., West Brownsville, was arrested Wednesday by West Brownsville police on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. He is accused of threatening to kill and burn the home of Marla Messenger during a confrontation at their home that morning. Police said she obtained a protection from abuse order against him. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
