PennDOT schedule announced
The state Department of Transportation issued the following tentative work plan for Greene County starting Monday.
Maintenance activities are conducted, weather permitting. Jerry Simkovic, Greene County maintenance manager, urged motorists to drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for work zones requiring the use of headlights.
• Bridge replacement on state Route 1023 on Cumberland Township.
• Bridge flushing on various state routes throughout the county.
• Shoulder cutting and grading on state routes in Richhill and Center townships.
• Pavement patching on state Route 218 (Smith Creek Road) in Wayne Township, Route 18 in Franklin and Washington townships, and Route 19 in Waynesburg Borough and Franklin Township.
• Pavement patching and drainage issues on state routes in Greene, Cumberland and Monongahela townships.
• Slide repair on state Route 3009 (Toms Run) in Jackson Township.
• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on state roads throughout the county.
