Police beat Aug. 25
No injuries: No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at 6:05 p.m. Friday on Route 21, state police said. Police said Zachary Debolt, 20, of Wileyville, W.Va. attempted to back up at a construction traffic signal. His vehicle struck a vehicle operated by Dachmon Ruge, 33, of Holbrook.
Theft: Two dealer registration plates were stolen from the lot at Solomon Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler on Route 21 between Feb. 28 and Aug. 19, state police said.
Crash: No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash at 12:03 a.m. Friday on Route 19. Police said a vehicle operated by Bradley A. Tedrow, 24, of Waynesburg ,struck a guardrail and traveled about 90 feet on the guardrail before going over a bank and striking a tree. Police said the driver fled the scene.
Tools found: Power tools, including a power drill and saw, were found on Fifth Street Thursday. Anyone with information regarding the items is asked to contact state police at 724-627-6151.
Burglary: Property was stolen in a burglary at a house on Deerlick Station Road between 4 p.m. Aug. 14 and 4 p.m. Aug. 15, state police said. The property, which was not identified, is owned by the Hildreth family.
Motorcycle crash: A Waynesburg man was in critical condition Monday following a motorcycle crash Saturday night on Route 188. George W. Ross Jr., 59, was taken by helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., following the 11:27 p.m. crash. State police said Ross slowed or stopped his motorcycle on the road and was struck by a motorcycle following behind him operated by Brian L. Ross, 57, of Beallsville. George Ross was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered a major head injury, police said. Brian Ross, whose motorcycle slid on its side, had minor cuts but refused treatment.
Marijuana find: A large amount of marijuana growing in a wooded area in an undisclosed area of Monongahela Township was eradicated by state police Sunday. Police are investigating.
Minor injuries: Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at 10:53 p.m. Aug. 15 on Route 188, state police said. Police said a vehicle operated by William S. Cooley, 42, of Waynesburg, failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane, sideswiped a vehicle operated by Angela Hair, 27, of Carmichaels, and hit a bank. Cooley had minor injuries but refused treatment.
Man charged: Dale R. Ealy Jr., 32, of Graysville was charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged a car owned by Jasell Lopez, 19, of Washington at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Dividing Ridge and Poland Run roads, state police said.
