Police beat Aug. 25
Game player stolen: Ashlend Stavrakis and Colby Stevens told McDonald police an Xbox, headset, controller, four Xbox games and 30 movies were stolen Wednesday from their home at 1115 Main St., Burgettstown.
Medicine missing: A resident of the 100 block of Elm Grove Drive in Canonsburg told police Aug. 14 two bottles of medicine were missing. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.
Charged in stop: Brett Robert Farrell, 20, of Oakdale, was charged Friday with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia along with an equipment violation stemming from an Aug. 15 traffic stop on Station Street, McDonald police said.
Retail theft charge: Debra Kehn Betters, 60, of 21 Herriott Lane, McDonald, was charged Friday with misdemeanor retail theft after she allegedly stole items from Giant Eagle, 201 Station St., the previous day.
Possession charges: Shawn Bowe, 19, of 1190 Smith Township Road, Burgettstown, will be charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after police said he was found with the suspected drug Aug. 18 at Bell Air Park, McDonald.
Paraphernalia charge: Katlyn Ann McCance, 26, of Carnegie, was charged Friday by McDonald police with possession of paraphernalia after police said she was found with a needle and other items Aug. 20 while in a vehicle parked on Prospect Street at Panhandle Trail.
Retail theft: Michael J. Lowe, 27, of 1162 Brush Run Road, Washington, was charged with retail theft and endangering the welfare of a child after he stole a phone case Aug. 20 from Verizon Wireless, 1500 W. Chestnut St., Washington, while holding his infant son, according to North Franklin Township police. The charges were sent by summons from the office of Magisterial District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Burglary: Kyle Michael Duff, 28, of 108 Fulton St., Washington, was charged with burglary and receiving stolen property after a neighbor reported a power washer missing, police said. The charges were sent by summons from the office of Magisterial District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Three face charges: Kyle Ray Boone, 18, of Caldwell Avenue, Canton Township, Charles Thomas, 20, of South Park, and Richard Lacks, 21, of Washington, all face charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and conspiracy after they were found with suspected marijuana and pills during a traffic stop early Saturday, North Strabane police said. Lacks also faces a charge of false identification to police for allegedly giving police an incorrect name. Boone and Thomas were arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail on $7,500 bond. Lacks was put in jail on a bench warrant. He will be arraigned later.
Equipment damaged: An employee of Golden Triangle told South Strabane police Monday an excavator parked off Route 19 southbound at the Murtland Avenue construction project was entered and used to damage a platform of a boom lift parked next to it. Broken beer bottles also were found around the equipment. Damage is estimated at $5,000.
Harassment: Dorian E. Wallace, 29, of 383 Lincoln Terrace, Washington, was cited for harassment Sunday after calling a woman names and striking her in the face, city police said.
Public drunkenness: Denise Tenlinh, 55, of 60 S. Main Street, Washington, was cited for public drunkenness after she was found wandering along the 100 block of South Main Street on Saturday with a cut on her head, city police said. Officers reported Tenlinh smelled of alcohol and had trouble walking. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.
Criminal mischief: Jessica Lynn McLaughlin, 37, of 1520 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was cited for disorderly conduct after she broke a vehicle’s windshield Sunday, city police said.
