The Aleppo Brethren Church will be hosting a free community dinner from 5 to 6:60 p.m. Friday. The menu consists of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, lima beans and cake. For delivery or more information, contact 724-428-9812.
A community dinner will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Rogersville United Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall. The menu will include hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, baked beans, ice cream and a beverage. Dinner is free, although donations are accepted. Carryout is available. The Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Carmichaels Methodist Fellowship Hall. Flenniken Public Library Director Katy Pretz will be the guest speaker. Cheryl Voytek, club member, will demonstrate how to make a burlap wreath. All members are encouraged to attend and bring a guest.
