South Strabane police charge several in thefts

South Strabane Township police recently charged several people with stealing from businesses in the township.

Tabitha Jo Horne, 32, of 108 Fulton St., North Franklin Township, was charged with theft by deception for allegedly taking items off the shelves at Walmart, Trinity Point, Aug. 15 and taking them to customer service to exchange for a $157.94 gift card.

Joshua J. Carr, 26, of 40 Bel Air Drive, Canton Township,was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing diapers, DVDs, batteries, clothing and other items valued at $253.55 from Walmart Aug. 17.

Stephanie Moore, 22, of 87 Mobile Road, Washington, and Autumn Moore, 27, of 6 Mill St., Washington, were charged with retail theft and conspiracy for allegedly stealing $170.99 in items from Walmart by concealing the merchandise in their purses Aug. 15.

Crista L. Santee, 43, of 327 Ridge Point Circle, Bridgeville, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole items, including a Keurig coffeemaker, valued at $244.95 from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, Aug. 12.

Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
