Assault arrest: Robert P. Becker, 32, of 67 Highland Ave., Burgettstown, was arrested Wednesday by McDonald police on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. He is accused of hitting his wife, Ariadane, in the face during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
Generator stolen: An employee of American Well Services, 1478 Jefferson Ave., Canton, told state police Aug. 16 a generator and tools were stolen from the building.
Disorderly charges: Shawn Kuch, 42, of 402 Arthur Ave., Roscoe, and Deborah Sue Montgomery, 42, of 2546 Warpath Road, Charleroi, were charged by Charleroi Regional police with disorderly conduct, and Paul Thompson, 48, of 826 Shady Ave., Charleroi, was charged with driving without a license and having an open container after the three allegedly caused a disturbance about 6 p.m. Sunday in the lot of the Sunoco station.
Woman assaulted: Matthew Myers, 35, of 138 Elm Alley, Clarksville, was arrested about 1 a.m. Thursday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly choked Alyssa Showman during a confrontation at their home. Police said he also shoved her against a wall. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Resisting, disorderly arrest: Joseph Gudac III, 56, whose last known address was Norris Drive, North Strabane, was arrested Wednesday morning by North Strabane police after he allegedly created a disturbance at Hyatt Place, 212 Racetrack Road. When police arrived, he allegedly started yelling obscenities at officers and struggled with them as they tried to take him into custody. While at Canonsburg Hospital, where he was being treated for a cut, he continued to yell expletives, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Faces drug charges: Christopher Lascari, 26, faces drug paraphernalia charges after state police said they were called to 2 Oak Lane, Somerset, to assist emergency medical personnel after Lascari reportedly overdosed on heroin. Police said they found two syringes.
Three arrested: Kristica R. Skelley, 34, and Darla Loy, 35, both of New Martinsville, W.Va., and Amanda M. Glendenning, 24, of Paden City, W.Va., were arrested about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday by South Strabane police after they allegedly worked together to steal $205.83 in merchandise from Walmart, Trinity Point. Police said they stuffed items such as makeup and hair straightener in a purse and left the store. They were arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of retail theft and conspiracy. The three were placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bonds.
Vehicles entered: Michelle Bowman of 548 Potomac Drive and Rob Robinson of 551 Potomac told South Strabane police Wednesday their unlocked vehicles were entered. Sunglasses and change were stolen from three vehicles.
Window broken: Anna Price of 199 Jollick Manor told Washington police Wednesday she saw two men break a window on her pickup truck.
Drill stolen: Victor Corder of White Oak told Washington police Wednesday a core drill with diamond bit valued at $1,900 was stolen from a construction site at Washington High School stadium. He discovered the drill had been pawned at Route 19-EZ Pay, but that it already had been sold.
