Police Beat Aug. 28
Stolen credit card: State police said they charged Frank Ray Frost, 28, of 247 Tower Road, Holbrook, with theft and access device fraud for allegedly using a stolen credit card to buy $1,980 in gift cards from Lowe’s in Washington between July 13 and Aug. 1.
Man accused of assaulting father: Brandon M. Brumley, 22, of 2656 Smith Creek Road, Waynesburg, was charged with simple assault and harassment after state police said he struck his father in the face and head multiple times Aug. 22 at their Franklin Township home.
Criminal mischief: State police cited Dale R. Ealy Jr., 32, of 197 Dividing Ridge Road, Graysville, with criminal mischief and harassment after troopers said he damaged a man’s car Aug. 19 near his Richhill Township home and grabbed the man by the shirt while attempting to punch him. Police did not say what started the altercation at Dividing Ridge and Poland Run roads.
Harassment: Dennis R. Hayes, 44, of 905 Sherman Ave, Waynesburg, was cited for harassment for allegedly pushing a woman at a Washington Township mobile home park Aug. 14, state police said.
Stolen laptop: Waynesburg police charged Tyler George Dial, 19, no address, with theft and criminal mischief for allegedly stealing a laptop computer Aug. 15 from an EQT worker in the 300 block of East Franklin Street in the borough.
Prowling at night: Timothy A. Hilverding, 26, of 312 Sugar Run Road, Waynesburg, was charged with prowling Aug. 19 after borough police said they found him hiding behind a home at 45 ½ S. Richhill St. Police said they also found him in possession of prescription medication and drug paraphernalia.
False report to police: Robert C. Sink III, 22, of 283 Huffman St., Waynesburg, was cited for disorderly conduct after borough police said he lied to them about a motorcycle being stolen Aug. 20.
