1 min read

CORAOPOLIS (AP) – Officials say divers pulled a man’s body from a lake at a Western Pennsylvania country club.

Officers were dispatched to the Montour Heights Country Club in Coraopolis around 4 p.m. Thursday after an abandoned golf cart was spotted near the lake.

Fearing that a missing golfer had drowned, Crescent Township Fire Company divers were called and the man’s body was recovered just after 5:30 p.m.

Police say the man has been identified but attempts to notify his family have been unsuccessful.

The man’s remains were turned over to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

Police say there is no indication of foul play, but an investigation is ongoing.
