Probation violation: Robert Herring, 31, of Washington, is facing drug charges after state police were alerted by Washington County adult probation that they found drugs during a compliance check Friday at 17 Mark Ave., Canton. Herring was placed in Washington County jail on a probation violation.

Batteries stolen: Three vehicle batteries valued at $540 were stolen from a flatbed truck owned by Mansuetto Roofing while parked between 1:30 and 6 a.m. Friday at Jefferson-Morgan High School, 1351 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Greene County. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-627-6151.

Overdose reported: Jordan Dixie Brock, 20, of 102 Noblestown Road, Midway, was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment after McDonald police were called to her home Saturday night for a possible overdose on prescription medication. Brock told an ambulance crew she was not sure how many pills she took, police said.
