Pedestrian hit on city street
A pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Washington around 6 p.m. Monday was taken by ambulance to UPMC Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh.
According to Washington police, Richard Yorty of Washington was walking near the intersection of Wylie and Allison avenues when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Robert Strope of Somerset.
Yorty’s injuries did not appear life-threatening. No charges were filed.
