Firefighters from five departments were called Monday morning when a fire was reported on the second floor of an East Lincoln Avenue company in McDonald.

McDonald fire Chief Scott Albertini said firefighters were called about 1 a.m. to Nokomis Engineering, 353 E. Lincoln Ave., for a report of a fire on the second floor of the building. Albertini said firefighters were able to contain the fire to the rear quarter of the building. Crews were at the scene until about 3:45 a.m.

A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, but Albertini said it is not believed to be suspicious.

No injuries were reported. The building is owned by K&L Ventures, the chief said.

Assisting were firefighters from Midway, Mt. Pleasant Township and Cecil No. 3 from Washington County, as well as Sturgeon from Allegheny County.
