Coroner: 3rd man on plane that crashed at resort dies

FARMINGTON (AP) – Authorities say the third man aboard a small plane that crashed shortly after takeoff at a posh resort in southwestern Pennsylvania has died.
The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said 27-year-old Eric Carlson of Rockville, Maryland died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday at UPMC Mercy.
Carlson was taken to the hospital’s trauma and burn center after the Beechcraft went down at about 2:15 p.m. Friday about a half-mile from the airfield at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, about 50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
The Fayette County coroner’s office said earlier that 68-year-old Terry Carlson and 26-year-old Jason Willems were killed in the crash.
A National Transportation Safety Board investigator took an initial look at the aircraft and the engine Saturday and plans to talk to two witnesses.
