Police charge two with prostitution
Two Fayette County women are accused of using Craigslist to promote themselves as prostitutes in a case that led to their arrests Wednesday in a North Strabane Township motel room.
Township police arrested Nicole Rose Valentino, 19, and Bianca Helen Garcia, 21, both of 503 Vine St., Connellsville, after they agreed to meet an undercover detective for sex about 8:40 p.m. at a local motel, court records show.
An officer from another police department contacted the women under an online classified seeking casual encounters, and he told North Strabane police he planned to meet them Wednesday in the township, the affidavit states.
“We like to keep things drama free, fun, safe and discreet,” one of the women later told the undercover officer in an email exchange.
The women contacted him Wednesday on cellphones and agreed to meet for sex at a cost of $350, the affidavit indicates.
A township officer eventually entered the room after the undercover officer signaled him that a verbal agreement for sex was reached with the women.
Both are charged with one count of prostitution and using a cellphone to commit a crime. They are free on unsecured bond set by District Judge Jay Weller.
