Leases available for new Waynesburg senior apartment complex
WAYNESBURG – Residents interested in living at the senior apartment complex being built in Waynesburg can begin applying for leases next month.
Construction on the Gateway Senior Housing development is continuing on schedule, PIRHL Project Manager Todd Robie said this week, and is expected to open on time in June. The apartment building will include 52 apartments for low-income seniors.
The pre-leasing information, which includes materials on age guidelines and income qualifications, is available, and the formal application period is expected to start Jan. 19, Robie said.
Anyone interested in receiving leasing information or wanting to know if they’re eligible can contact representatives on the pre-leasing team at 724-880-0373 or send an email to gatewaysenior@ndcrealestate.com. They also will be able to visit the staff members at a temporary office on the second floor of the Greene County Office Building, 93 E. High St., each Tuesday.
Construction crews broke ground on the $10 million project at High and East streets in early May and have been aided by unseasonably warm weather that has allowed them to stay on schedule. PIRHL Development of Warrensville Heights, Ohio, is developing the project.
The building will include 31 one-bedroom units and 21 two-bedroom apartments for independent seniors 62 or older whose income is 60 percent or less of the medium income for the county.
The complex will have a large community room, laundry rooms, computer room and a wellness center with exercise equipment.
Residents will have access to the first floor and parking area on Nazer Street.
